Rent a rifle or bring your own?
Rifle rental with ammunition is available at Okangawa. The price is on request. Many hunters still prefer their own rifle; here are the trade-offs.
Renting a rifle on the farm
A rental rifle, with ammunition, saves you the import permit, the airline paperwork and any transit permits, and one less heavy case to carry. Tell Andrew when you plan your hunt, and he’ll quote the rental with your estimate.
Bringing your own
Your own rifle is the one you know and have shot most. If you bring it, allow time for the permit on arrival, check your airline’s rules early, and avoid transit countries with strict firearm rules where you can. Our guide to travelling with firearms has the details.
